What is Voice Thread?

A Voice Thread is a collaborative, multimedia slide show that holds images, documents, and videos.

Teacher Uses:

  • Teachers can use voice thread to teach a lesson.
  • A teacher can also use it when she is going to be absent; she can make a voice  thread video demonstrating or explaining what she wants the students to do.
  • Teachers can get to know their students

  • This could also be done for the substitute
  • They can also have them act out a poem on there or review a video or an educational movie they watched.

Student Uses:

  • Students can use voice thread to brainstorm( thought bubbles) important ideas for their projects.
  • Allows students to participate in classroom discussions in a unique way.
  • Students can use it to tell digital stories and give presentations.
  • Students can also use it for personal use in their Facebook or Myspace pages.
  • Receive lectures from missed classes
